Padraig Harrington Wins the Open at Carnoustie

In one of the most exciting tournaments in the last few years, Padraig Harrington won the Open (2007) in an exhilirating playoff against Sergio Garcia on Sunday. However the Irish golf pro nearly threw it all away on the 18th after a double bogey that could have cost him the title.

He attributes his win to the pre-tournament preparation where he was able to play in an Irish PGA tournament just a short time before the Open. Congratulation to Padraig and we hope that he will continue to go from strength to strength in the near future.

Tiger Woods wasn't quite able to produce the good this time around, finishing at two under par. Whilst he wasn't quite up there on this tournament, we're sure that this won't be the last we see of Tiger (although it's nice to see someone else win for a change). Argentine, Andres Romero came in third with six under par missing the play off by a narrow margin.
